2022-2023 Residencies

  • Pre-K will meet with mixed media artist Bridget Matros who is gifted in her ability to engage with young artists using her masterful toolkit which sometimes includes musical instruments.

  • Magically creative mixed media artist Bridget Matros will help kindergarteners engage with their inner artist selves in fall, winter, & spring.

  • 1st Grade2nd Grade, and Multi-age will become musicians as they learnabout folk music and write their own songs with Jud Caswell.

  • 3rd Grade will explore the connection between art and poetry during their residency with Dawn Prindall & Virginia Brown.

  • 4th Grade will explore force & motion through circus skills. Students will play with notions of gravity, weight, air resistance, using scarves and balls for juggling & feathers & tubes for balancing with Janoah Bailin, a circus performer & instructor specializing in juggling & unicycling.

  • 5th Grade will be learning about Wabanaki Art and Culture through student driven conversations with basketmaker and former Penobscot Nation Chief Barry Dana. We're grateful to the Nathaniel Davis Fund, the Senter Fund, the Leondard C. and Mildred Ferguson Foundation, and the Lunder Foundation for providing funding to support this residency.
