Medium: Sterling silver, fresh water pearl
Additional details: This design was inspired by an iris seed pod. The sterling silver is embossed by rolling it between Thai silk fabric then it is cut and shaped, folded and hammered to create a pod shape. Polishing brings out the glow of the silver and a single pearl is attached- symbolizing the seed.
Artist: I love the creative process and my current passion is learning how to heat, solder, fold and hammer metal into beautiful natural and geometric forms. The beauty of coastal Maine inspires many of my designs.
