Artist Information: Using experimental darkroom processes, my primary focus is on the descent - or sometimes, the erasure - of the image from its origin. This interest, as explored in my work, calls into question the referential weight of the image, the collective understanding it represents, and the liminal space that surrounds it. Modalities of thought that are often explored in my work include historical and contemporary perspectives on manifest destiny, the sublime, and photography as evidence.

I hold a BFA in Photography from the University of Colorado at Denver, and an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University.
