June 2019 Newsletter

We believe that the Arts are Elementary to learning. Our mission is to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through arts integration in all Brunswick elementary schools and raise awareness of the arts in the local community.

The red carpet was unrolled and the library staged as a theater for the 5th grade movie premier. Thanks again to Brittany Parker for the filming and editing/special effects and also to Heather Martin, the HBS librarian, for letting us use her class time for the premieres!

Artist Bridget Matros was back for her final session with the kindergarteners and brought the "curtain" of shrinky dinks the kids made in January! It is awesome and so fun to look at. Bridget even made some extra special ones - and there's one of Mr. C as well!

We’re delighted to announce

Please join us in thanking our Program Director, Kate Kalajainen, for her many years of dedicated service as staff and a board member. June is her last month with AAE as we’re reducing the size of our staff to focus our resources on our programs.
