2021-2022 Residencies

  • Pre-K will meet with mixed media artist Bridget Matros and her new pre-k program designed to engage young students through art while providing teachers with tools to support creative development in the classroom.

  • "Yup, That's Me!” Kindergarten will be seeing, showing, and expressing themselves with mixed media artist Bridget Matros.

  • 1st Grade and Multi-Age will illustrate the life story of a plant with their bodies in Plants Dance, Too! with movement and dance teaching artist Elly Lovin.

  • 2nd Grade will be creating theatrical mini diorama animal books showing the complete biology and life history of their animal with artist & cartographer Jill Osgood. 

  • 3rd Grade will explore the connection between art and poetry during their residency with Dawn Prindall & Virginia Brown.

  • 4th Grade will travel around the world and learn a wide variety of dances with performer Matt Loosigian in Folks Dances from Around the World.

  • 5th grade will be learning about Wabanaki Art and Culture with basketmaker and former Penobscot Nation Chief Barry Dana. We're grateful to the Nathaniel Davis Fund for providing funding to support this residency. Funding has also been provided by The Maine Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
